The new year is upon us, so you know what that means. Everybody is making their new year’s resolution, including us. At Malbek, we like to keep things whimsical, and so we thought it would be fun to take the typical new year's resolution list and turn it on its head for contract management. As you'll see, our contract management resolutions for 2020 are less about what we need to fix and more about our goals for growth in the coming year. Hey, we may be the only ones in town planning to gain a few pounds this year.
Learn a new skill or hobby
These days AI is a buzzword for sure, but, not surprisingly, there's a lot of misinformation out there about what AI really is. When other contract management vendors talk about AI for contracts, they usually mean specific use cases or point solutions such as metadata extraction or negotiation guidance against your preferred clause library. This is limited in scope and does not cover contract management end-to-end. It sells what AI can do far short. We believe AI and Machine Learning (ML) can do so much more for your contracts if it's built on a solid contract management platform. We've been working hard to bring our vision to market. This year we plan to launch technology that will guide users from pre-contract to authoring to signature and into post-contract intelligence. With a robust platform and immense data embedded in the stored contracts, Malbek will apply invaluable insight to legal, sales, finance and other departments, enabling intelligent decision-making that directly impacts business performance.
In 2019 we became an international CLM provider, which was an exciting milestone for us! But we're not done there. In 2020, we plan to expand in several ways. First, we plan to continue growing into new geographies, crossing borders as a global solution. Second, we're going to "travel" across more departments, including sales, legal, finance, and procurement since we truly are an enterprise solution. After all, contracts are used enterprise-wide. Why should their management and benefits be relegated to only the legal department? Malbek provides a huge value to each department supporting a variety of their use cases.

Our organization has experienced a huge amount of expansion in 2019 with lots of new customers and significant revenue growth. We will only be able to continue that growth, though, if we keep investing in our people. They are the lifeblood of Malbek. Their talent and dedication is what has made us so successful thus far, and in 2020 we plan to add more top talent and motivated individuals that will shape the future of Malbek.
