Engineering Manager


This position is responsible for managing both strategic and technical role inside the company. The strategic aspect includes goals for the team, hiring engineers and prioritizing projects. The technical aspect is about getting actively involved in developing new products, identifying requirements, and setting timelines.


  • Oversee front-end and back-end development teams and their projects
  • Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements
  • Plan and implement best practice engineering processes and methods
  • Finding and implementing ways to improve cost-efficiency.
  • Manage software development projects by setting requirements, goals, and timelines
  • Design strategies for future development projects based on the company’s overall objectives and resources
  • Hire engineers and coordinate their training
  • Design, code and implement solutions from concept to final hand-off to customers
  • Efficiently and creatively solve complex and difficult customer use cases
  • Create extensible design and easy-to-maintain solutions with the performance, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and long-term vision in mind for new modules and enhancing existing ones as requested by internal business groups
  • Ensuring quality work through code review process, unit tests, and testing
  • Collaborate with partner teams
  • Day-to-day maintenance and support of all existing applications related to product
  • Should possess the skills to handle pressure and challenging deadlines
  • Manage the team in delivering the product and provide technical guidance
  • Define and monitor best practices, code review process for the team to follow
  • You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define product features, drive the system design and architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, system, and application performance characteristics
  • Solid experience working with Java, J2EE technologies, and Spring framework
  • Extensive experience with cloud technologies
  • Experience in developing REST APIs and good knowledge of modern RDBMS and SQL
  • Passion for developing products which provide a great customer experience
    Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency, and drive
  • Proven hands-on software development experience and knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
  • Strong knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and agile development environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills with high attention to detail
    Able to bring a fresh perspective to modern engineering practices and patterns
  • Very strong experience in managing enterprise applications in Java with multiple medium to large teams
  • Good understanding of agile methodologies
  • Leadership abilities with a strategic mind
  • Excellent in making presentations, demos to customers and internal management team.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
