A Malbek Milestone: Our Series A Funding Round

Today I am thrilled to announce the closing of our Series A funding round of $15.3 million!

As I reflect on how this journey began, I am once again reminded of the problem my co-founders Matt Patel and Madhu Poolu and I set out to solve four years ago. Throughout our decade of experience as business executives, we have witnessed firsthand the tension contract management caused between organizational teams. For too long, legal teams have been asked to do too much with too little and have carried the burden of owning end-to-end contract lifecycle management.

We founded Malbek with a vision to disrupt that dynamic by simplifying contract collaboration throughout the enterprise, empowering all business users across Sales, Finance, Procurement, Legal and more, to be change agents for their companies. Today, we are proud to support several Fortune 500 companies and other large enterprise teams, as well as many small to mid-sized high-growth organizations, in doing just that, and we’re only getting started!

It’s a very exciting day here at Malbek as this investment highlights the continued success of our platform and unlocks our next stage as a company, enabling us to continue building products that save organizations time, reduce risk, and accelerate topline revenue.

The last year has brought a tremendous amount of change—we’ve all changed the way we work, the way we collaborate, and the way we do business. But despite these changes, Malbek has continued to grow, and our commitment to you has remained the same. With our customers forefront in our mind, we will use this funding to accelerate product innovations—from our patent-pending, proprietary AI technology to our intuitive, drag-and-drop integration marketplace—grow our talented team and invest in our culture.

We are excited to welcome new investors, Noro-Moseley Partners and TDF Ventures, and continue our partnership with Osage Venture Partners. With their combined depth of experience and perspective, we can continue to scale both the company and the product while maintaining the integrity of our culture.

As we celebrate this important milestone, I’d like to extend a sincere thank you to the customers who have trusted us, the partners who continue to support us, and the employees who have made this all possible. As we look ahead, we are eager to expand our solution footprint with your help.

And for those of you that have been with us since the beginning, you might remember that little more than a year ago, we compared getting funded as a startup to getting married. I think it’s safe to say the honeymoon phase may have ended, but we are still in love with our future direction.
